UXA 2

The User Experience Analysis (UXA) is designed to be an optional, freeform way for you to express how you are taking the concepts learned in the class and applying them to a real-world situation. The idea is to explore how HCI is just as much an art as it is a science.

Narrative

You were just hired as a designer at Acme LLC. Lucky for you, they also happen to make your favorite device, app, or piece of software. However, you’ve been tasked with designing overhauling the interface for the next iteration of the item in question. Your task for this UXA is to design the customer/user survey to help determine what works, what doesn’t, and what users would like to see in the next version. Identify what you like most about your item and what you think should be changed. You should be basing your survey construction mainly on what you’ve done for Project 2, though if you decide to take a different path or go against what the authors suggest, simply explain why you chose to do so. Same basic length requirement as UXA 1, including an introductory paragraph.

For each of your survey questions, make sure to explain why you’re adding that item.

Remember, this is a creative assignment. Make your submission both visually pleasing and operationally accurate. This can piggyback on UXA 1 but doesn’t have to.

Assessment

As this is a completely optional bonus assignment, points are all-or-nothing and it makes for a simple grading declaration. Address the following target areas:

Mechanics: Appropriate attention paid to spelling and grammar.
Creativity: Assignment is completed with appropriate creative zeal.
Format: Document is formatted in a way that is both organizationally coherent and visually pleasing and meets length requirement.
Core concepts: Main ideas from the related chapters are included.
Timeliness: Submitted prior to the due date. No late submissions allowed.
