Module 5: Usability Testing and Security Auditing

Learning Objectives

Module 5 has the following goals and objectives:

  1. Define the components of the DECIDE framework described in the book.
  2. Describe the components required to conduct a usability test and the kind of information that can be gathered
  3. Conduct a simple usability test of an existing website or interactive product.
  4. Define different methods for evaluating a website’s usability and choose the appropriate test.
  5. Identify the different components of a usability testing plan.
  6. Choose appropriate test metrics for a given usability test.
  7. Create a usability test plan for an existing website.
  8. Define and demonstrate how implementing security impacts the user experience.
  9. Demonstrate an understanding of scholarly, evidence-based design considerations
  10. Evaluate research in the field of human-computer interaction
